VALID8 - Comprehensive Data Validation and Verification System
 enables clients to validate data in-house interactively or in batch mode. Alternatively clients can link to Computer Facilities’ web service or make use of our bureau services. VALID8 is proprietary software developed by Computer Facilities. Computer Facilities achieved Microsoft Certified Partner status in August 2005. Our validation and verification software,
has been developed in-house and subsequently tested and certified by VERITEST, an independent international company and contributed to our status as a Microsoft Independent Software Vendor.
Our system has been running efficiently and effectively in several large corporate and government organizations including SARS, Transunion (ITC), JD Group, O’Keeffe and Swartz (Call Centre) and Clientele Life (Call Centre). All our data processing is run through our proprietary VALID8 software. Some of the functionality and benefits are:
- Validation of suburb to postal code - maximising the chance of delivery and reducing Nixies, resulting in cost savings and better response rates
- Validation of ID Number to date of birth and gender – results in the client being addressed correctly and improves segmentation of target markets.
- Validation of Banking Details – enhancing new business take-on ratios and minimising drop off rates.
- Validation of telephony – by validating the telephone number prefix to the suburb, increased contactability and response rates are derived. This also provides a further cross check on address details supplied by ensuring the suburbs marry up. Data can also be segmented for delivery to Call Centres for onward telemarketing activities.
- Data enhancement and correction – for example translates title and address details according to language preference, standardises address details, corrects postal codes and place or suburb names according to the SA Post Office official
post code tables, calculates gender and current age based on valid ID number and corrects and supplements telephone number dialing codes.
- De-duplication of names and addresses where no ID number is present
- Comprehensive data demographics analysis on the data submitted
- PAMSS processing facility - This process verifies postal codes and suburb or place names according to the Post Office official tables as well as our own table of most common misspellings. It applies corrections where required and identifies and allows for informal areas and addresses, for example - House 123, Road 123, Chatsworth 4092 - is acceptable. It also provides comprehensive statistics.
