Computer Facilities gets Level 1 BEE rating

South Africa's specialist direct marketing bureau Computer Facilities has been rated as a Level 1 contributor to BEE with a 135% procurement recognition level, as verified by the National Empowerment Rating Agency (NERA), a member of ABVA.

Computer Facilities was established in 1982 and under the leadership of founder, Ian Geary, the company employs 46 people.

"The company has an exceptionally low staff turnover and high retention of skilled staff who have been trained and developed through the company. When it came to getting our empowerment in order, it was a natural progression for us to look internally at individuals within the company who have spent years helping to grow and develop the business to where it is today, rather than looking externally for BEE investors who had played no role in, nor have an understanding of the business. We are extremely proud of the service track record of our staff and it speaks volumes about the company being an employer of choice in the industry," says Geary. An employee trust, Kgatelo Pele Trust holds 49% share of the business.

Computer Facilities is an integral part of the direct marketing teams of some of South Africa's biggest blue chips, including Absa (multiple divisions), Cell C Connect, JD Group, Nedbank (multiple divisions), RCI, South African Revenue Services and more.
