- Checks titles, initials and surnames and flags suspect data items.
- Checks address details and flags suspect address lines.
- Checks RSA ID number and date of birth details and flags invalid ID numbers, any discrepancies between ID number, date of birth and gender.
- Checks telephone numbers and flags numbers without dialing codes and invalid telephone prefixes.
- Checks any other user-defined data items such as branch codes, product codes, model numbers, etc.
Data enhancement and correction
- Data enhancement and correction – for example translates title and address details according to language preference, standardises address details, corrects postal codes and place or suburb names according to the SA Post Office official post code tables, calculates gender and current age based on valid ID number and corrects and supplements telephone number dialing codes.
- De-duplication of names and addresses where no ID number is present.
- Comprehensive data demographics analysis on the data submitted.
- PAMSS processing facility - This VALID8 process verifies postal codes and suburb or place names according to the Post Office official tables as well as our own table of most common misspellings. It applies corrections where required and identifies and allows for informal areas and addresses, for example - House 123, Road 123, Chatsworth 4092 - is acceptable. It also provides comprehensive statistics.
